For some background, Scott Drew has traditionally selected a school in the more rural areas of Oklahoma to put on the schedule as a way to boost ticket revenue in that area and provide the players of that school some valuable D1 experience.
This year’s schedule featured the Sooners from The University of Oklahoma, based out of Norman, Oklahoma.
It should be noted the Sooners were without their senior leader Jordan Woodard. Woodard, an accomplished scorer, usually tallies 17-18 points per game.
From the very beginning, the Bears brought everything they had. Johnathan Motley started the game with a tip-in and a 3-pointer, on the way to an 11-2 Baylor opening run.
