Baylor faces Texas Southern at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Bears' final tuneup before Big 12 play. Baylor has thus far started the season undefeated at 11-0, earning the No. 4 ranking in the AP Poll. Though Big 12 play will start on Dec. 30 at Oklahoma, Baylor has one last non-conference game left this season, at the end of January against Ole Miss.
Texas Southern should be an easy matchup for Baylor. The Tigers are currently 4-8 this season. Guard Demontrae Jefferson is the team's leading scorer with 18.3 points per game but the 5-foot-7 freshman shoots only 27.
