Former Baylor four-star recruit Jarrett Stidham was named Auburn University's starting quarterback by head coach Gus Malzahn.

The former Baylor Bear was a star recruit out of DFW area powerhouse high school, Stephenville. In 2015, he was the second best dual threat quarterback of his class, according to 247sports.com's annual rankings. Stidham left Baylor prior to the beginning of last season.

While at Baylor, Stidham played in 10 games and made three starts, after then starting qb Seth Russell injured his neck and was out for the season. In Russell's absence, Stidham completed nearly 69 percent of his passes to go along with 12 touchdowns and two interceptions.
