Matt Rhule's message is clear: Baylor isn't running from its past, but learning from it

FRISCO -- When Matt Rhule first took over as Temple's football coach, exactly three reporters attended his news conference at American Athletic Conference media days.

With a much bigger audience and a much brighter spotlight at Big 12 media days, Rhule made the most of the opportunity. He addressed his vision for Baylor following a sexual-assault scandal that rocked the football program and the university, costing football coach Art Briles and President Ken Starr their jobs. If anyone expected Rhule to sidestep or equivocate or try to prod media members to just talk about football, they haven't been paying close attention since Rhule was hired in December.
