Update, Dec. 19: Zach Smith tweeted that his release from Baylor is now official. Reports had surfaced less than a week ago that the quarterback was looking to transfer from the university.
Not all hope is lost for Bears fans, however. Four-star recruit Gerry Bohanon committed to Baylor over Arkansas. Check out his announcement on Twitter here.
According to 247Sports.com, the Bears now have the nation's 21st-ranked recruiting class and fourth in the Big 12. Baylor's ranking jumped from 26th after Bohanon's announcement.
Bohanon is the country's No.
