Boris Mathis spoke of the “honour” at signing for Everton and excitement at the opportunity of working with Under-23s coach David Unsworth after signing a two-year contract with the Blues.
The young French striker, 19, will link up the reigning Premier League 2 champions as a free agent after leaving Metz.
A product of Lyon’s academy, Mathis joined Metz in 2015 and made his professional debut for the Ligue 1 outfit in April 2017.
