Kieran Dowell was the match-winner as England Under-20s moved into the knockout stage of the World Cup with a 1-0 win over hosts South Korea on Friday.
The winger scored a brilliantly-worked goal on 55 minutes, back-heeling the ball to Blues teammate Jonjoe Kenny before steering the full-back’s return pass into the bottom corner of the net.
Also starting at the Suwon Stadium was fellow Evertonians Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ademola Lookman, while defender Callum Connolly was a substitute.
The win means England advance as winners of Group A, with seven points to their name.
