Mason Holgate has been included in the England Under-21s squad for their training camp next week.
The Everton defender is one of 28 youngsters named in Adrian Boothroyd’s initial group.
The camp at St George’s Park will serve as preparation for the upcoming European Under-21s Championships, which takes place between 16-30 June in Poland.
The young Lions finished top of their qualifying group, going unbeaten with six wins and two draws.
Holgate finished the season as Everton’s first choice right-back following the injury to Seamus Coleman and made 20 appearances in a breakout campaign for the young defender.
