Jordan Pickford has Match of the Day to thank for learning plenty about Everton’s crop of young talent – and he is looking forward to working with them first-hand.
The Blues' new goalkeeper - a Club-record signing last week from Sunderland - admits he was drawn to the Toffees' record of producing young players, with Ronald Koeman giving 2140 minutes of action to teenagers during the 2016/17 campaign - more than any other Premier League manager.
Pickford saw plenty from the likes of Ademola Lookman, Tom Davies, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, as well as his England Under-21 teammate Mason Holgate, when he watched match highlights on a Saturday night, and takes confidence in the Blues' attitude towards young players, with himself only 23.
