INDIANAPOLIS — Despite a 3-7 record, the Colts have plenty to be thankful for as they enter the holiday season.
First, their defense has been steadily improving over the past three weeks and now could receive healthy additions in outside linebacker John Simon and safety Clayton Geathers for Sunday's game against the rival Titans.
The offense should get a gift of its own in the return of tight end Erik Swoope, whose deep-threat ability could finally help to open up some things for star wide receiver T.Y. Hilton.
But, mostly, Indianapolis can be thankful for the relative struggles of the AFC.
