Jack Doyle Earns Handsome Payday with Sunday’s Performance

He may have only caught 3 passes for 16 yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, but it was enough for Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle to reach 60 receptions on this season. According to ESPN’s Field Yates, that mark has earned Doyle a nice addition to his upcoming salary.

By recording his 60th catch of the season, Colts TE Jack Doyle triggered an escalator clause, raising his base salary in 2018 by $400k from $3.5M to $3.9M.

Doyle became the Colts’ primary tight end in this year after the Colts allowed Coby Fleener to leave for greener pastures last offseason, then they traded Dwayne Allen to the New England Patriots this offseason.
