Jurgen Klinsmann is out as United States head coach and, regardless of who is handed the responsibility of leading the team for the remaining eight games of Hex, he'll have a difficult task ahead of him.

Klinsmann leaves behind him a team bereft of momentum after two disastrous performances.

On the other hand, Klinsmann's successor will have the benefit of four months of preparation before World Cup qualifying resumes. He'll also have two of the three toughest games of the round (Mexico at home, Mexico away, and Costa Rica away being that trio) behind him.
